Women who lift weights – are awesome!!

Fear of getting ‘big’ and ‘bulky’
The last few weeks, I have had questions regarding weights from some of our lovely ladies! This will hopefully answer them! If your fitness goal this year is to lose body fat and build curves then you need to lift heavier weights. You’ve already heard that strong is the new sexy, and it’s not just because being strong is amazing (which it is!) It’s also because strength training will completely transform you body. That is, if you are aiming to become lean and toned with great curves!

First of all, lets dispel the myth that lifting heavy makes you look like a bodybuilder in drag!
On average, men produce roughly 16 times more testosterone than women, and many research articles state levels greater than 25 times more! Building muscle takes time and hard work and with such low levels of testosterone it is impossible for you to resemble a female Schwarzenegger unless you are taking the type of ‘help’ that we do not offer at Evo!  So relax, only great benefits can come from our training!
Women need to train differently to men?
Unfortunately some women’s fitness magazines do sabotage and confuse women’s effort to making life-changing progress to shaping and getting lean as they focus on the latest fads and trends which is usually a marketing money orientated scheme. The truth is women need to train applying the same principles of training, and performing the same exercise routines as men. (The way we train you)!

Intimidation factor = 0!
At Evolution Project, James and I are focused on helping you to feel as confident as possible in every workout you do with us. We train you using the best techniques in all aspects of training. Our massive community spirit and friendly atmosphere will have your confidence soaring and you gaining results quicker then you thought possible!

8 Reasons why every woman should lift weights:
1. Increases your metabolism and BMR so that you are burning fat 24/7.
2. Increase your confidence. Becoming strong carries over into many other areas of life and helps you to be successful.
3. Enhances curves, sculpts and shapes your body by increasing muscle tissue.
4. Reduces chances for osteoporosis by increasing bone density
5. Effective anti-aging activity.
6. Reduces chances for many life-style related diseases and chronic illnesses.
7. Increases energy levels and mood through the release of brain-chemicals that reduce anxiety and depression.
8. Increases quality of life and well-being
