Rebecca is a fifty-something woman who came to Evolution Project feeling very unfit, overweight, and completely out of her comfort zone — having not stepped foot in a gym for over 20 years.
The Challenge
Before working with us, Rebecca was starting from scratch.
She hadn’t trained in decades and felt unsure about where to begin.
The idea of joining a structured programme — especially something like an 8-week challenge — felt intimidating.
More than anything, she was worried she simply wouldn’t be “good enough”.
Why She Nearly Didn't Start
Like many of our clients, Rebecca was sceptical.
She doubted whether she’d be able to keep up, finish the challenge, or even fit in.
That fear alone nearly stopped her from starting.
The Turning Point
But something changed the moment she stepped into Evo.
Despite her initial fears, she quickly found herself enjoying the process — and more importantly, feeling supported.
The coaches pushed her, the environment lifted her, and the community welcomed her in.
Before long, what started as a challenge turned into something much bigger.
The Results
Over 18 months, Rebecca achieved:
Completed 1 Transformation Challenge and 3 Metcon Challenges
Dropped 3 clothing sizes
Lost significant weight
Built confidence and consistency in the gym
Created a long-term lifestyle change
Here’s what she had to say:
“I started at Evo as a very unfit and overweight 50 something, who hadn’t been near a gym in 20 years. To be totally honest I wasn’t sure I’d even manage the 8-week Transformation challenge - I was so scared I just wouldn’t be good enough.”
“Well, not quite sure what happened but Evo certainly hooked me in!!! I absolutely love everything about Evo.”
“So 18 months… later I am chuffed! I can now happily go clothes shopping having dropped 3 sizes… I never thought I’d say I’d become addicted to going to a gym but I certainly love it!!”
“Everyone is so supportive and encouraging - Evo has certainly become a lifestyle change.”
What This Means for You
If you’re feeling like Rebecca did — out of shape, out of practice, and unsure where to start — you’re not alone.
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need confidence.
You just need to take that first step.
With the right support and environment, everything can change.
