To me Fear stands for –Face Everything And Rise
Fear tries to convince us of worst-case scenarios. In survival mode, this is helpful, but when not needed, it can be damaging to our happiness and personal goals!
What if you fail? What if you get embarrassed? What if you can’t do it? What if you’ll never find happiness or get the outcome you want?
Take a moment (right now!) to reflect truthfully on how many times you revert to a fearful and/or negative thought throughout your day or stop yourself from having a new experience because of fear and a lack of certainty.
I know in my past I have passed up opportunities because of my fear, my lack of certainty and being able to control outcomes to avoid any possibility of getting hurt – emotionally and/or physically!
If we want to start living our lives – really feeling and coming alive – and finding our full potential, we need to learn how to move past fear and to move beyond it, you must first face it!
Releasing Your Fear
Replace Negative ‘What If’s’ With Positive ‘WOW What If’s?’
Fear makes us ask questions like ‘What if I can’t do it?’ or ‘What if I’m not good enough?’ Replace fear with ‘What if I do even better than I imagined?’ and ‘What if I love it and I find a new passion/group of friends?’
You attract the energy you give out, so why not choose to send out positive thoughts and see what happens!
Talk To Your Fear
Where is this feeling coming from? Don’t blame whatever is in front of you – most of our fear comes from within! Listen to what you are telling yourself to validate your behavior, and find the underlying cause.
It may sound difficult, but you have the ability to be honest with yourself and uncover the root of your fear! Once you do this, you can move forward and fear lessens its hold.
Add experiences into your life that would usually get your guard up. I don’t mean you need to start cliff jumping (unless you want to!)– Go to the gym, embrace new people, embrace the changes you want to see in your life and the person you want to shine through!
Daily actions, however small, will reinforce that you are bigger than your fears and each time you conquer something challenging, see how your happiness and confidence soars and your tension decreases!
Love You, Yourself and well…you!
Negative thoughts or self-doubt about ourselves are fear of some sort that we are never enough in some way. This is damaging your happiness! When we have a loving relationship with ourselves, fear no longer has such a hold on our lives.
Take time to really appreciate yourself and your life each day – love all those things that make you –you! Any changes you wish to make, approach them with positivity so you can continue to feel gratitude and not fear.
Ask yourself “Do I want to make this decision out of fear? Or out of love?” There are only ever two choices.
