5 Tips To Stay Healthy Over Christmas and New Year!

Do you over indulge every year?

Are you surrounded by copious amounts of treats?

Here are a few top tips to help you stay in shape over the next couple of weeks!

Keep Working Out – Don’t stop your routine just because of the holidays! Plan your social calendar around your workout commitments. Your body will benefit and so will your festive spirit when you are looking so good!

Keep Hydrated – Dehydration leads to cravings and hunger, so drink up! The more water, the better your skin and energy levels for really enjoying every moment of your holidays!

Activate Your Christmas – After a big meal, wrap up and go for long romantic or family walks in the fresh air! It’s a great way to exercise, get you out of the house (to stop picking at food) and spend some quality family time.

Moderation – we would never tell you not to enjoy yourself and I really hope you have the most magical Christmas and NYE, but remember, everything tastes better in moderation. Care about your body and what you are putting into it! Take your time, eat slowly and mindfully and give your stomach a chance to communicate with your brain to let it know when you are full.

Love Yourself – A day or two of relaxing on your healthy nutrition and fitness will not ruin all your hard work so do not punish yourself! Instead, commit to getting back on track and be positive about yourself, what you have achieved this year and all you are capable of achieving in the New Year!

Now that you have your holiday plan in place, make sure you enjoy your time and be grateful for all the experiences you will share with the people you love and those who matter to you.
