Do you ever wonder why gymnasts have such amazing bodies?

Where sprinters get their speed? Martial Artists their power?

PLYOMETRICS

So everyone knows how much we love Plyometrics at Evo, but do you really understand why we make you jump, leap and fly around the gym? No, its not just to punish you!

Plyos relax and contract muscles in fast sequences, making use of the elasticity and strength in your muscles so you start to run faster, jump higher and throw further.

They develop power and speed.

They improve strength in both lower and upper body.

They increase your metabolism and the rate you burn fat.

They enhance power endurance, so you perform at a higher intensity for longer.

Your balance, agility, reaction time are greatly improved.

Some of our fave plyo exercises are:

Burpees (who knew!)

Squat Jumps

Jump Lunges

Surfers

So next time you train at Evo, think how LUCKY you are to do such beneficial exercises.
