Nutty about Nuts (and seeds of course)

So nuts and seeds are a great addition to any healthy lifestyle,
especially if you are a veggie or vegan as they provide you with a great source
of protein, but do you know which ones are best for you and what benefits they
can provide to your health and your body?

As many of you are now kicking off your healthy 2016 regime, start
incorporating these tasty morsels as snacks in between meals to keep you
healthy and satiated.

Chia and Flax seeds

As mentioned in a previous post of mine, these seeds are amazing and
my personal fave!

Rich in protein, iron, magnesium, Vitamin C, omega-3, phosphorous
and fibre

Increase stamina

Fires up metabolism

Lowers blood pressure and cholesterol

I mean they just do everything!

Hemp seeds

Source of complete protein

High in fibre

Improves complexion

Great for PMS

Reduce inflammation

High in omega 3

Pumpkin seeds

High in zinc, magnesium, vitamins E, K and B

Promotes good sleep

Great for lowering depression

Good for prostate health

Almonds

Walnuts

Strengthens kidneys and lungs

Improves brain health

Fights free radicals

Improves metabolism

Lubricates digestive system

Brazil nuts

Boosts immune system

Aids digestion

Helps cellular growth and repair

Helps prevent bloating

Aids in proper functioning of the thyroid
